Anne Tumlinson, Senior Vice President, directs Avalere’s post-acute and long-term care practice group. Anne conducts and oversees research, analysis and strategic consulting on post-acute and long-term care policy for government, foundation, and commercial clients. Her work currently focuses on a variety of issues cross-cutting acute and long-term care, including hospitalizations and Medicare service use for people with severe disabilities, linkages between Medicare payment reform and long-term care service delivery, CLASS Act implementation, private long-term care insurance, and Medicare post-acute care payment methodologies.
Prior to Avalere, Anne led Medicaid and long-term care policy for the federal Office of Management and Budget (OMB). Before joining OMB, Anne conducted health services research as a Senior Research Associate for LifePlans, Inc., and before that served as a legislative assistant on health and long-term care policy in the office of Rep. John Lewis (D-GA).
Anne holds a B.A. in Psychology from Furman University in Greenville, S.C., and a M.M.H.S. from the Heller School at Brandeis University.
