Cynthia Rice

Cynthia Rice is the Director of New Technology Access for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), the world's largest charitable funder of type 1 diabetes research. In this role, Ms. Rice directs the JDRF Artificial Pancreas Project, an aggressive, multi-year campaign to speed regulatory approval, health insurance coverage, and clinician adoption of technologies that will prevent serious and costly complications from diabetes.

Ms. Rice brings to the job extensive experience leading complicated initiatives in both the government and nonprofit sectors, having served in the White House as a Special Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy for President Clinton, as an advisor to two senior members of the U.S. Senate Finance Committee, and as a Vice President for Policy for a national issue advocacy organization.
