George J. Huntley, CPA

American Diabetes Association

George J. Huntley, CPA, is Chair of the Board of the American Diabetes Association, the leading nonprofit health organization dedicated to preventing and curing diabetes and to improving the lives of the nearly 24 million U.S. children and adults with diabetes. He is also the Chief Financial Officer for Theoris Group, Inc. in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Huntley has been living with type 1 diabetes for more than 25 years and has been a dedicated American Diabetes Association volunteer leader for more than 20 years.

He served as Chair of the Indianapolis Community Leadership Board from 2002-2006 and has served as Chair or Co-Chair of the J.K. Lilly Distinguished Service Award Gala since 2001. He also helped pass diabetes care in school legislation in Indiana in 2007.

On a national level, Huntley has served two terms on the National Board of Directors. He has also served as Chair of the Finance Committee and as a member of the Research Policy Committee, Future Directions Steering Committee, and Community & Volunteer Development Committee. He is also a member of the American Diabetes Association’s Pinnacle Society and Summit Circle.

Among his many honors, Huntley received the American Diabetes Association’s Addison B. Scoville Award for Outstanding Volunteer Service in 2002.

Theoris Group is comprised of Theoris, Inc., an information technology consulting firm; Theoris Software, LLC, which develops and markets a patented dashboard software product, and Maetrics, LLC, a quality and compliance consulting firm serving the life science industries. Huntley is a member of the senior management team and is responsible for all financial, administrative, human resource and information technology functions.

Huntley received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
