Dr. John E. Anderson is an internist practicing adult medicine and diabetes at The Frist Clinic in Nashville, Tennessee. He is currently President of the multi- specialty clinic and has previously served as its Vice-President and Medical Director. At Centennial Medical Center, a large tertiary care referral hospital, he has been Chief of Medicine and a member of the Board of Trustees where he currently serves as Vice-Chair.

Dr. Anderson has been a volunteer for The American Diabetes Association for over 17 years and has held officer positions locally and regionally, and has served on several national committees and task forces. He has been a member of the National Board of Directors and currently chairs National Advocacy for the organization.

Professionally, he co-chairs ADA's Southern Regional Conference and serves as a member of the Medical Advisory Committee for Healthways, as well as participating on several speakers’ bureaus.
