Perry Bridger,
Vice President and Director,
Avalere Health LLC

Perry Bridger is Vice President and Director of the Reimbursement Practice at Avalere Health.  Avalere is a leading strategic advisory company in the healthcare field.  The group provides consulting, research, and educational products to a range of commercial and non-profit customers with interests in improving the healthcare system.  The Avalere Reimbursement Practice advises companies at all phases of the development process - from pre-clinical assessments of likely market sizes to post-launch problem solving at the institutional level.  Practice members have diverse public and private sector backgrounds, and bring these experiences to bear in helping clients to develop product reimbursement strategies that maximize coverage and payment potential.

Mr. Bridger focuses on reimbursement for pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, implantable devices, and other medical technology.  He has extensive experience in Federal healthcare policy, medical device reimbursement, and technology assessment.  Prior to joining Avalere, he was a Senior Health Policy Analyst in the Coverage and Analysis Group at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), where he was the lead Medicare analyst responsible for cardiology, neurology, dermatology, and orthopedic coverage issues.  At CMS, Mr. Bridger was also responsible for interagency collaboration between CMS, the Food and Drug Administration, and the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute.  

Prior to joining CMS, Mr. Bridger was a senior lecturer on the faculty of the Northeastern University Institute for Emergency Medical Services, and a senior paramedic and paramedic supervisor in Massachusetts.  He holds an undergraduate degree in history from Brandeis University, and a Masters in Health Policy and Management from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
